Moonshine and Palinka
After months of bleeding, practicing, gigging, partying, traveling and arguing over the relative merits of the key of G over the key of A, the Strung Out String Band produced a first CD in 2004.
In the fine tradition of great strung out performers before us, we decided to name it Moonshine and Palinka(+) after two of our favorite beverages which have inspired many a musician on both sides of the Atlantic.
Out of all the songs we’ve learned and played these are the ones we decided to commit to tape and forever live with our performances of. A few are available for your listening pleasure as low quality MP3s. Enjoy.
