[ May 28, 2010; 9:30 pm; ] This Friday night the Strung Out String Band will be playing old timey music at the Roots Cafe in the ever hipsterifying South Park Slope, Brooklyn. We’ll be strumming on banjos, singin’ murder ballads, and pretending that it’s 1928 starting at 9:30 and playing one exceedingly long set that will end at 10:30pm. [...]
The Strung Out String Band is a six person acoustic ensemble dedicated to interpreting "Old Time Southern" music. We aim to blast audiences into a frenzied dimension of ecstatic boogieing using fiddle, banjo, guitar and, in the great tradition of those who followed before us, anything we can get our hands on. We are based in Brooklyn, USA.
